DOT Headquarters design

For the design of our headquarters, we wanted to change the concept of a definitive design and bet on a space that allowed the constant adaptation of the present.

We believed in an inspiring environment, capable of adapting to the rhythm of our project, telling our past stories and our vision of the future, that is why all DOT members have participated by developing unique, handmade, or inherited pieces, just like it happens in a home.

Our goals behind the design of our office were two. First of all, we wanted to open up our space and connect with our community. Secondly, as it is known the concept of the workplace has drastically changed; virtual offices, open working environments are just a few of today’s trends to take into account. To stay relevant in an evolving working culture, DOT needed to evolve too. 

We wanted a great heart to receive our customers, reminding them they were in a place of brave people who want to make a better world.

We designed different working areas in order to answer the multiple needs: 

• Open Office: Open and collaborative work-place where informal interactions and collaborations take place simultaneously. 
• Kitchen: We love food and eating. The kitchen is a place to have a communitary eating experience. 
• Workshop space: A place to co-create with our customers and inspire and enrich our ideas in a teamwork. 
• Open DOT: A place for community meetings and presentations to share knowledge. 
• Santa Terracita: Although the weather in Bilbao is not the sunniest, the terrace is a place to relax and connect in a more relaxed setting.
