Njoki Riguga

Business strategist, financial & development expert

Kiama Nancy Njoki Riguga is a Business Strategist, Financial and Development Expert, with more than eight years of business experience. She has an extensive background in planning, executing and managing cross-functional business operations and projects. She also has several years’ experience in management and working in dynamic teams. She is a result-oriented and value-driven individual, an analytical and a conceptual thinker who effectively partners with senior managers and employees alike to assess opportunities, facilitate strategic decisions, and drive successful implementations of systems, controls and procedures.

Njoki’s current external roles include heading finance and administration functions of a local successful construction company, where she also sits in its board and assists in overall guidance of the organization, a partner in a business consultancy firm as well as volunteer in Rotary Club of Muthaiga (a club in a global service organization), Lighting Manyattas Initiative (a CBO that seeks to provide clean energy pastoralists communities in Kenya) and a member of AIESEC Alumni Association/Rotaract Club of Muthaiga.

Njoki joins DOT to create a robust strategy and planning processes, financial and technology strategy, high quality operational processes and harmonized resources across African based operations and projects.

Njoki has previously worked in sales and marketing function in the motor industry, financial administration for a start-up in the technology sector, monitoring and evaluation of a USAID OVC scholarship program among other varied roles.

She has begun her PhD studies and holds an MBA in strategic management from United States International University – Africa (USIU-Africa), Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Moi University and BSc. (Hons) in Applied Accounting from ACCA/ Oxford Brookes University. She is also an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Affiliate undertaken in Strathmore University.

Njoki’s interests and hobbies include doing Sports- Lawn Tennis, Cycling, Swimming, Golf, Badminton, Nature Trails. Reading novels, inspirational books and educative articles. Socializing, Conferencing, Traveling and Dancing. Global interaction, education and cultures, photography. Food, art and gardening.

Africa Basque Challenge Experience & Incubation Program

Njoki recently took part in the ABC Nairobi and Bilbao Bootcamps, an exciting program of idea development and interaction with other youth of diverse backgrounds that sparked her mindset into entrepreneurial, teampreneurial and inter-cultural thinking using technology. She is currently in a mixed team of six dubbed ATM (Africa to Manufacture) working on a world changing idea of sparking decentralized industrialization via agro-processing with an aim empower rural areas while ensuring food security in Africa, its starting point being Cassava processing with the below model under development. The team is currently undertaking a 90 days incubation program with a top incubation organization while working on the MVP for the business.
